Semester 1
- March 2022 -
For me, the first semester is a time of new experiences and learning opportunities, and exploring myself. During this time, I feel for myself what architecture is like, and reflect on what I succeeded or failed at, and figure out what I enjoyed and despised.
Architectural Design I (ARC60208)
Architectural Design I is an introduction to architectural design. This module presented and explained design through the expression of the
perception of ‘self’ and the body, construction, and materiality in terms of tectonics.
Design Communication (ARC62404)
This module introduces fundamental skills for the appropriate communication of architectural design. It engages different means of visualisation and expression of space and spatial ideas through architectural drawings to prepare me with the skills required in design projects.
Architecture History and Theory (ARC60804)
A chronological survey of the developments of Ancient architecture to Western architecture from the beginning of time to the period of Enlightenment, with consideration of the intellectual, aesthetic, technological, political and economic factors which have influenced the design of buildings. These issues are explored with reference to major contemporary examples and the work and philosophy of significant exponents.
